  • FAQ

Q1: Is teak wood really waterproof, or will it grow mold over time in the bathroom?

A: Teak is naturally waterproof and mold-resistant thanks to its high natural rubber oil and silica content. Unlike pine or oak, teak repels moisture internally rather than relying on temporary paint sealants, making it virtually immune to rot and black mildew.

Q2: Will the wooden slats move or overlap under foot pressure?

A: No. Our factory enforces strict dimensional quality control. Every wooden slat is precision-machined to uniform dimensions and secured flatly, ensuring all blocks remain strictly in place without overlapping or shifting.

Q3: Is this teak bath mat safe on wet, slippery bathroom tiles?

A: Yes. The underside of the mat is fitted with heavy-duty, anti-scratch EVA non-slip rubber pads. These grips elevate the wood off standing water while providing strong traction to prevent the mat from sliding.

Q4: Can this mat be used inside a walk-in shower or outdoor pool area?

A: Absolutely. Solid teak is a maritime-grade timber used on luxury yacht decks. It performs exceptionally well in direct water environments, including walk-in showers, saunas, outdoor pools, and patio decks.

Q5: How do I maintain and clean my teak bath mat?

A: Maintenance is simple. Periodically rinse away soap residue with warm water and stand the mat on its side to dry occasionally. If you prefer to maintain its warm, golden-amber luster over years of use, apply a light coat of natural teak oil once a year.
